TO PURCHASE URGENTLY NEED MEDICAL SUPPLIES
DURING CORONAVIRUS COVID-19
Being kind makes you — and others around you — happy
Master Teresa Yeung and Emily Law are good friends and both care about our communities. They both see the urgent need of proper medical protection supplies needed lacking for staff, social workers, nurses and doctors serving communities in Toronto, and other cites alike. Inventory is running low quickly as the needs continue to rise up.
We wish to encourage more people to give donations to any areas you wish to donate.
The most wanted medical supplies are masks, protective gowns and gloves.

2) Kids Canada is a not for profit organization that connects schools and organizations to build a world of compassion, tolerance and human rights for all. Through cultural exchanges of art and technology, their mission is to help break down the negative gender, cultural and racial stereotypes that hold us all back. They empower kids beyond textbooks and school walls both here in Canada and in Uganda.
Donations at this time are urgently needed to support their kids in Uganda with food and health supplies during this Covid-19 pandemic. www.kidscanada.wordpress.com

3) Community Living Toronto
Community Living Toronto is an organization that supports more than 4,000 people with intellectual disabilities and their families throughout the city of Toronto. They currently have over 1,000 developmental and personal support staff working around the clock in our 50+ group homes to keep children (under 18), youth and adults (including seniors over 80 years of age), safe, healthy and engaged.
Some of our group homes include people with very complex needs. In addition, we have community-based staff who are working to ensure the that the adults and families we support who live independently in the community remain healthy and safe in their homes. People with intellectual disabilities are one of the hardest-hit individuals and populations as self-isolation and containment methods continually increase.
While most of us are adjusting to the day to day of physical and social distancing; the lack of routine in their daily lives, understanding of the challenges and not being able to see family and friends while practicing good physical distancing can present numerous issues such as behavioral issues, mental health issues and general wellness. Our staff is doing everything they can to support them, all while keeping themselves healthy and safe (along with their own families at home).
Donations to Community Living Toronto at this time will help with the purchase of additional personal protective equipment like gloves, masks, and sanitizer to keep people safe as well as board games, gift cards, arts and craft supplies and board games to keep the children, youth and adults we support busy while practicing good physical distancing.
